Sumitomo Chemical was established in 1913 in Japan to manufacture fertilizer from the Besshi copper smelters at Niihama, Ehime Prefecture, to address the environmental problems caused by emissions.

Sumitomo Chemicals currently operates in five sectors :

  • Energy and Functional Materials,
  • Information Technology Chemicals,
  • Health Sciences and Crops
  • Pharmaceuticals.

They supply products all over the world.

The history of Itochu Corporation dates back to 1858, when the founder of the company, Chubei Itoh, began his laundry business. Itochu has evolved and developed over the past 150 years.
